Arrive by train at our very rural Colwall Station (direct trains from London Paddington, Birmingham, Hereford) and walk 50 metres to the hotel in the centre of this quiet and peaceful village, situated on the sunny western side of the Malvern Hills. Or arrive by car, as we are only 25 minutes drive from the M5/M50 motorways, almost halfway between Bristol and Birmingham, and just over two hours drive from London.

We are fortunate enough to live at the foot of the Malvern Hills and there are many superb walks directly from our hotel onto the breathtaking hills, offering gentle strolls along the foothills or a great one day trip along the ridge from Worcester Beacon to British Camp, with glorious views over seven counties along the way.

For the more adventurous the famous Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains of Wales (home to the SAS) are only a quiet 45 minute drive away, offering unrivalled walks and memorable views. Perhaps an easier walk along Hay Bluff or a gentle stroll around the famous book shops at Hay on Wye is more to your liking?

Whatever your choice, we can offer information and walking maps for local village strolls, walks on and around the Malvern Hills or Ordnance Survey maps for further away locations. Although there are plenty of good pubs around, we can provide tasty packed lunches as well
